Way to Go!

  1. Can Mathematics be brought close to student's heart and mind?
Can it taught and presented in a way it is made approachable?
It is possible if and only if the teacher or author has that vision while creating/writing the book.

One such great attempt is by Dimitry Bertsekas in coming up with "TEN Simple Rules of Mathematical Writing"

    1. Organize in segments

    2. Write segments linearly

    3. Consider a hierarchical development

    4. Use consistent notation and nomenclature

    5. State results consistently

    6. Don't underexplain - don't overexplain

    7. Tell them what you'll tell them

    8. Use suggestive references

    9. Consider examples and counterexamples

    10. Use visualization when possible

  2. One of the text that follows the above rules is the following

    Introduction to Probability, 2nd Edition
by Dimitri P. Bertsekas and John N. Tsitsiklis

  3. One who want to get a taste of this may have a look at the MIT Open Course Ware(OCW) Video Lectures. The link is given below

  5. Good morning Sir, I fully agree with you, the way the whole lecture was setup, context was absolutely clear.

Way of explanation about Probablity is really good (MIT), still being such complex topic.
I want go back and understand it once again:)

    Keep publishing!!!
